First Instrument: His mom bought him a guitar when he was 7 years old.

Past school: Sayreville High School

First gig: Rush, Heart and The Doobie Brothers; in Erie, Pennsylvania, 1975.

Past bands: Raze -- his very first band, originally called "Starz"
Atlantic City Expressway -- a 10-piece R&B band he was in while in high school, that was when he was introduced to one of the band members, who later became a keyboardist for Bon Jovi, "David Bryan".
The Rest -- they got to open for Hall & Oates, Southside Johnny &the Asbury Jukes.

The Wild Ones -- While with this band, Jon wrote "Runaway" and Ray Willhard entered the song into a competition drawn by a local radio station called "Rock To Riches", the song was played all over the country. Jon was then offered manyrecord deals.

Acting carreer: Young Guns (1990) -- filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Jon played a very small role as a runaway prisoner who got shot to death!

Moonlight and Valentino (1995) -- starring Whoopi Goldberg

The Leading Man -- did well in Europe but still not released in the U.S.

Little City -- co-starring Annabella Sciorra and Penelope Ann Miller

Homegrown -- with Billy Bob Thornton and John Lithgow

Long Time, Nothing New -- directed by Ed Burns (She's The One), co-starring Laren Holly
